Gardening in Sacramento

Gardening is in full swing at our house.
We have three 3x3 gardens that we are planting pseduo square foot garden style. I say pseduo because with 4 helpers under 7 much of our seeds ended up in rows instead of the square spaces designated for them.

We have
2 tomato plants - in a container
1 cucumber seedling and several seeds directly sowed (March 20)
1 zucchini
1 crooked neck squash
1 watermelon
2 cantelope
lots and lots of carrots
Several broccili seeds planted see if any make it
Marigolds
14 Sugar Snap Pea pods were planted
Lettuce (butter) was planted in rows that will go under the pea trellis

We also purchased two blueberry plants and potted them as well as two strawberry plants. Silly me, I got all excited and purchased strawberry seeds. No one told me it takes three years for the plants to make fruit from the seeds. (sigh) I will plant the seeds and we can watch them grow I guess.
